ewww.... good thing I don't have a weak stomach. ;) I'm not a smoker, but I don't know if the ad will make smokers quit. They're addicted and can't help themselves, it seems.

There was this forwarded email to me last week depicting pictures of a man cut in half, his car went underneath a big rig, real gory pictures of his two decapitated bodies being loaded in an ambulance. The cause was yakking out and texting thru his cellphone.
Just like smoking, does showing these kinds of pics a deterrent?
To me, live the way you want, shorter or longer. By the way, my last smoke was October 22, 1971, it was a decent choice, one less part of my body I need to worry about. Cheers! Oooh, goodhealth to all also...

eeeewwwwww talaga! (kamukha siya nung sugat ko sis! Yukkk!)

When I was in college, I was assigned to take care of a smoker patient suffering from a disease called Buerger's. He had lost his fingers and toes. He was likely to have his left hand (from the wrist) and left leg (from the knee down) amputated cuz they were becoming diseased because of poor circulation. The smoking (nicotine or tar or whatever, I forgot na) has blocked the blood vessels supplying oxygen to those parts. One day, I asked him if he's gonna quit smoking when he is discharged from the hospital. He said, "Apay koma, isun to met laeng!" (He could save his hand and leg if he quits.)

Yeah, maybe it won't work for those who are addicted already. But dunno what's the point of these pictures then. Maybe to discourage those who want to try smoking hehehe...

Tagal na nung 1971 a, Sir TB hehehe... Good for you then and for Ma'am TP! Good health to all nga agpayso.

Hi sis, ganun? Kamukha siya ng sugat mo? Yaiks! Sana naman mas ok pa itsura nung sa yo. Pipiliin pa talaga ung sigarilyo kesa sa parte ng katawan noh? Haaaaayyyy....

Some of these smokers takes comfort on things they see or read or heard from anything, anywhere.
There was this 109 years old chick from the Ukraine and when asked about her wonderful longevity, she simply said: I smoked marijuana all my life!
Cheers and still, goodhealth to you all, smokers or non.

I'm very thankful my husband doesn't smoke anymore. It was a gradual quitting that started from the first time we dated to finally and totally stopped when our eldest came.

Yuck, those pictures are really scary. Are they really included in cigarette boxes like that? They totally destroy the "hipness" which we often mistakenly associate with smoking.

Hi ading, sana din my younger bro will quit smoking. Worried na nga si Mother sa ubo niya. Nyay!

Hi Anonymous, nice pix ba? Hehehe...

Hi Manang Lovelyn, that's good! I bet u were the influential factor :)

Hi Sir BB, yep! The pictures are in all the cigarettes sold here. How smokers can stand looking at it is a mystery.

Hi Mng Abella, no cheers also to us who inhale the smoke. Sigh...

I would like to discuss relevant information related to your blogs that will serve as pertinent data for my study. Your opinions will greatly help in answering the study’s research questions.

I am willing to schedule a videotaped interview at your convenience anytime from April 1-10, 2008.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at 0906-580-6669 or steph_rabia@yahoo.com to confirm your interview schedule or for further inquiries.
